RX 7900 XTX and Quest 2

I'm contemplating to buy an RX 7900 XTX and I have the Quest 2.

I'm wondering if there are any compatibility and performance issues.

Are you switching from NVIDIA? I use my 6900XT with a Quest 2 with no problems, if that helps.

I've read there is encoder issues with the 79xx series and quest headsets. People reporting degraded image over link, but very clear over virtual desktop. No idea if it's been fixed or not, but it seems Meta had to do something, not AMD.

Coming from Nvidia - gtx 1070 playing on low settings and planning a complete new build.

I am aware of the issues that have been regarding running AMD and Meta and I wanted updated input, if possible, whether there still remained anything to iron out.

I would like to get a 7900xtx also, coming from a 3090 and don't want to dump cash on the 4090.
But I know that and cards have issues with reprojection, so ASW won't work.
Last year I tried a 6900xt and performance was very good, but asw didn't kick in, it worked only with very old drivers.
It seems that the few people which use the 7900xtx doesn't use reprojection at all...
But without reprojection my VR experience would be really unpleasant
