Stations L1 and R1 aren't releasing JDAMS properly. They lose speed and fall way short of their targets when dropped from IN RANGE distances. I've found that if I'm at roughly 35k ft and above 400 CAS that they seem to work properly or if I get within IN ZONE distances and slow to roughly 440 CAS. I can CONFIRM this issue still exists, 2 bombs from CFTs are still approaching reversed terminal angle when releasing at 20k altitude IN ZONE. come on this issue has been existed from day 1 of JDAM update it's almost 3 months.. Bri01 Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 And that's why I was going to hold off buying. They have never been fast at fixing problems.
Str][ker Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Yeah the rear CFT GBU-54's (didn't check with others) tend to fall SLOW and if you drop when in range and they will probably not make it to the target (my experience). If in Zone, they reach it but behave oddly. (as mentioned). Hope they do just bug fixes for the next patch and skip new features. 1
Alex_Weyland Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 (edited) Checked with GBU-31V3 x2 on the right CFT. Both were programmed to strike at 85 degrees. Rear CFT GBU-31 came off and used kinda strange trajectory and tried to hit the target by reverse angle instead of programmed (like 95 degrees) - whole trajectory was broken. I use to see that happen as well with other JDAMS, flying past the target a little then angling back to hit them.
lee1hy Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 Still, the last jdam is bent at 90 degrees above the target and dropped as if it were drifting. It does not hit the target. It's still been 4 months or 5 months, but jdam is still a problem and tgp's performance is very poor. This product definitely has a lot of problems. It would be great if a sniper pod came out, but no one knows if it will be in 5 years? 10yrs? kim_123456#3214 My awesome liveries user files https://shorturl.at/cdKV5

AFAIK the current variant simulate pretty nicely the older versions, DCS is not meant to have very advanced stuff and the TGP is more than enough for most tasks... And you know that the dev is stopped since the issue between ED and Razbam, there is no big "problems" just an older version with less features. Also obviously there is bugs, that's normal in a product that is still in developpement 1 My Setup : i5-4690 3.50GHz + 24GB RAM DDR3 1600MHz + MSI RTX 2060 Super Ventus OC + 2 SSD + 4 HDD + Oculus Rift CV1 + TM T.16000M Hotas Super Etendard for Life !
