Tuna-Salad Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 Please make thumb toggle on x-52 bindable to axis (as it is treated like a mouse) so us lesser mortals can use this to slew the tdc.

What does it report itself as to windows? It's usually the device itself that dictates whether any specific control is an axis, a button, or some kind of HID input (key press or mouse movement). 1 ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves. Tippis Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 Well, then it's probably doable, but DCS has a nasty habit of restricting mouse axes to only be possible to bind to very specific things. Come to think of it, does Windows even support multiple and separate mouse inputs, or do they just get mangled into one big current position? 1 ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves. Tuna-Salad Posted November 20, 2023 Author Posted November 20, 2023 It treats itself as a axis in DCS and a mouse in windows. If it was a bindable axis it could work.

That's interesting. If it shows as two axis in joy.cpl, DCS will see them as such. DCS doesn't treat special hardware differently, so then you should be able to bind them as you want. If they don't show up as axis in joy.cpl, you need to contact the hardware vendor for a new driver, that's probably your best shot. ED can't possibly accommodate for every single piece of hardware out there, unfortunately. That's also the reason MS came up with Direct Input. To make it easier for both hardware vendors and game makers. Cheers! Cheers!
Tuna-Salad Posted November 22, 2023 Author Posted November 22, 2023 It's a common stick and the toggle can function as a mouse in dcs but it is not bindable. That is the issue. It is a simple fix. I personally do not use the software that came with the stick as A. it does not fix the problem B. it can sometimes cause conflicts / problems with dcs.
