Conuk Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I always thought 30 fps was the magic number anyways ? so 60 + is not much point ?
tigertoo Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 FFB and more fps Turn off the force feedback. That should grab you a whole bunch of FPS. Lomac/Config/Producer.cfg do i type "false" to do so??:icon_redf
Fellblade Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 The human eye can capture approximately 24fps. 30fps is more than the human eye can see.... ...however, the human eye has 'motion blur' - everything is time-lapsed over that 1/24th of a second, and the brain meshes it together into an understandable view. With games, there is no motion blur - it is showing a series of static images with no transition. To get an apparent perfectly smooth movement of objects, you generally need slightly over double the 'refresh rate' of the eye, hence about 60fps...

Shaman Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Turn off the force feedback. That should grab you a whole bunch of FPS. Lomac/Config/Producer.cfg Instead of true; you just put false; there right? I'm not sure if it is placebo :) I don't have forcefeedback joystick. 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
