Shooter signal

[JT Animal]

Can someone tell me what this signal means? I’ve never seen that one. I got the super carrier manual and they do not show that sign. I assumed it meant to wash out the controls, but he doesn’t stop that and signal run up.

You need to slowly move forward to engage the shuttle of the catapult.

Are you using any mods?  That looks like the NIGHT run-up signal, but he should have a wand in hand if he's doing that.  That would explain why he doesn't stop and signal run up (because he's already signalling that).

No that’s the shooter, already on the shuttle and passed on to the shooter.

It’s a campaign, not night time, but poor visibility weather, fog mostly..

I thought the signals to the pilot were up high, over head. Seems strange for them to do a signal waist high due to poor weather. Like I said I searched everywhere for that signal. I found the aircraft carrier operating procedures manual, a nice document, shows all the signals I’ve seen on the carrier, but not that one. Funny huh?

He should have the lighted wand in hand in which case doing it there makes more sense.  Obviously they think it's Case 3.  That's not a signal it should be making without wands.  That's why I questioned if you have mods installed.

That makes sense, I have no mods installed. But the deck is not dark, so I guess it’s a glitch due to the way they did the weather. At least I know what it is now. I have never flown a night mission, off the carrier anyway. I’ve never seen it and that signal doesn’t show in any of the manuals. Ok so I powered through and saluted and off I went. The strange thing about this mission was they told me I was clear to take off at cat 3 I taxied to cat 3 and the plane director (yellow shirt standing in the middle of the rail) did nothing, everything I tried, nothing. I taxied to all 3 other cats and they all started directing me up to the shuttle. So odd. So with that going on and the strange signal, I was confused.  I reset it 5 times before I got off the deck. Thanks for the help.

Best to save the track and upload here.

As for not seeing the wands... it might be the cows' job.

Ahhhhhh .... the infamous cow bug.  Forgot about that one .  This is a great example for people who thing every bug is "easy" to find and fix (who would have thought about the cows in relation to the wands?).
