nathan.wailes Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 I'm guessing this is a result of the recent changes to the flight model, is that right? I read some comments saying that the Huey burns through fuel a lot faster now than in the past. Is there some optimal speed I should fly at that could allow me to get to the end of the mission? Or should I just fly as fast as I can? Below's a video of the mission (made by someone else):
Solution Flappie Posted January 8, 2024 Solution Posted January 8, 2024 I agree. When I landed at Kampari, I had no more fuel. Issue reported. ---
FoxFlier Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 I’ve just tried and failed (3Nm short of base) this mission too - but I did have to double back for a minute or two at the crashed heli site. Most of the missions seem to be really tight on fuel - this was the first one I did the cruise at 80-90 knots after reading Chuck’s guide (and absorbed the fact that more torque = more fuel). I’ll try again tomorrow!
Flappie Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Two fuel fixes will be available in the next OB update: one for mission 10, and another for mission 7. 1 ---
Flappie Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 Fixed with today's update (2.9.3.51704). ---
