When in a multiplayer server you can click select roles and then back to spectator and then reselect your aircraft.

Otherwise there is a key bind, though I can't remember exactly what it's called.

Also you can eject, you just need to open the door first. LCtrl + C or click the door handle, then LCtrl + E (3x)

Yup. I knew about that one. I should have specified SP.

There is a Get new plane - respawn keybind but it doesn't seem to work.

Ah, that's strange because I am unable to bind the Eject keybind to any of my HOTAS controls at all. 🤔 When I saw that I assumed the Eject just didn't work. I wonder if that's a bug.

So I tried "Ejecting" as you described and for anyone reading this looking for a solution, Both the Pilot and Gunner need to "Eject" before you can respawn.

I appreciate the help @FalcoGer 👍

Ok. So mark this as "Unsolved" please.

You need both the Gunner and Pilot out of the Apache to respawn, however if one of them is dead, you cannot get them out, and you cannot respawn. (in singleplayer)

You can eject from the AH-64d?

Have to give a try!

Try it in the air, it's very funny. Unless they fixed the superman like powers for the pilots in the last few patches. Probably not, very low priority.

Didn't do much testing, but when I ejected as CPG, I was able to use the "Get new airplane" keybind (default is RShift + RCtrl + Tab) and it respawned me in a singleplayer mission.

Didn't test without ejecting or with PLT ejecting instead.

Edit: Tried again. No respawn in any case. I think it might have been due to the helicopter actually being destroyed by landing in the trees that the keybind works.

I ejected as CPG in the air, curled into a ball, landed and stood up as a parachute appeared behind me, then hit the 1 key and was back in the pilot's seat. I then rescued "myself" with the trusty M230. Unfortunately, I died midair as physics caught up to me, then promptly forgot.
