As realistic radar modeling is becoming the norm in DCS, first with Razbam’s Mirage 2000 and F-15E and now with Heatblur’s F-4, I thought the Fulcrum would be a great opportunity for ED to join in. The Fulcrum’s radar is well documented and ED has SME on staff

here is a lecture series from Ukraine’s national Aerospace University and a radar book that I believe ED has used before.

Some other potential sources are the US National Air and Space Intelligence Center which recovered an Iraqi export standard N019 at the end of the Gulf War (HAVE NOSE) and AFOTEC which until recently operated ex Moldovan MiG-29 9.13 inherited from the USSR.

I'm pretty sure this is already planned considering the ongoing rework of the F-16C and F/A-18C radars, but it's definitely worth saying. The differences in radar modeling between modules are very visible and going back to an older (or just worse) implementation is quite painful.

I am sure ED will strive to deliver the best Fulcrum - A simulation available to commercial market.

The announcement of features to be implemented will be as exciting as the reveal itself 😉

makes me very excited for what ED might decide to cook up

The MiG-29 manual is full of warnings about false contacts both radar/IR, over swampy or wet areas. How the target indicator will go down if you select false target. And the range/azimuth inaccuracy for each mode. Hope all these things are modeled. The IRST should have good filtering, but should also show false things
