Maxter737 Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 No mods, no scripts, bios and all drivers up to date, hyperthreading off, memory tested, fxo and metashaders2 folders cleared, slow repair complete (several times), DCS completely removed and fresh installed. I am very close to doing a fresh windows install. dcs.log
rob10 Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Have you tried renaming your Saved Games DCS folder and letting it rebuild? I don't see you mentioning it and it won't have been touched by repair or re-install.
Maxter737 Posted January 22, 2024 Author Posted January 22, 2024 I just renamed saved games folder and for a while I was thinking I was good to go, then it crashed again running a player made mission in the F-15E on a hot start runway takeoff. dcs.log
Flappie Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 It is strange that DCS does not have time to end its log (we see no crash in your log files). Do you get a BSOD or a hard PC reboot? ---
Maxter737 Posted January 22, 2024 Author Posted January 22, 2024 Its just a crash to desktop mostly. Sometimes its a bluescreen and full PC reboot. I just flew for 10 minutes on 2 missions and it ran perfectly. I don't know. I played a few other graphic intense games to test hardware and I had no issues. I have also ran some 3dmark stress tests checking CPU, HDD, and GPU and it seems stable on those. I have had a few crashes to a reboot in the last week or so. Once was while watching youtube and another while doing a GPU stress test. I will keep an eye on it and if I need to, Ill just do a fresh windows install as my next test. After that, the next step will be the dreaded hardware isolation tests. Thanks for help.
Flappie Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 You might want to check your RAM with MemTest86: ---
