Buzz313th Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Hypothetical question here. How much money would need to be raised by a crowd funding effort and offered to "Heatblur" to generate interest in committing to finish a fan selected Full Fidelity Module? Cheers Crowdfunding to make full fidelity modules can cost from a million to much more. And seeing the "disasters" of the latest CFs (RSS Studios, etc.), it is better to forget that option as an alternative for creating modules in DCS World. The problem has no the money, has the team, the experience, data available, resources and develop time. For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF

Not asking to crowdfund the entire development cost, just to get a commitment to a particular aircraft model, assuming they have the resources and can get the data. 1 Rig Specs: Win11, 12900k@3.9-5.2, RTX4080, 64G DDR5@4800, Quest3@4800x2600 (Oculus Link Cable On Link, no VR tweaks) DCS World: MT 2.9 with CPU Core #8 Disabled Module Proficiency: F-15C, A-10CII, F-16C, Modules Owned NOT Proficient: The rest of FC3, F-18C Terrain Owned: NTTR, DCS World Included Maps

As far as we know, developing a module does not work on "fan chosen". There are many aspects in development that can make a module work or not, both financial, data and many external. Saying today "we are going to make a Su-24, Xian H-5, Lightning or B-17", but tomorrow we have to face difficulties that could ruin the project, no matter how much "promise" is made. 2 For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF

Cobra847 Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 what grouchy_creason means is that generally for now we've got our roadmap full and we're capitalized enough to go ahead and execute on that. But it's always an option for a bigger project in the future if we can't swing it without the community's support! 3 Nicholas Dackard Founder & Lead Artist Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
