Elphaba
I've looked that the guide for creating an aircraft that is pinned at the top of this forum, but how much of that can be dropped if I'm just making an ai aircraft i.e. civilian airliner?
razo+r
Most still applies, but some stuff like make flyable and EFM can be dropped. There also might have been some changes since the publication of that guide. If you want to know 100% what to do, you can look in existing AI only mods. western_JPN
That's how much detail the modder / modeler / skinner (so, you) want to implement on their (your) external visual of the new aircraft unit. Modders and modelers can omit external animation like flaps / ailerons / elevators / rudders. Omitting flaps animation brings wing 3d modeling easier and time saving. ED's Yak-40 has cabin interior seats, walls and pilot human models with transparent glass windows. They are also omittable. Each modders' decision implementing something and omitting others.
