How to get the cockpit drawings from the DCS folder...

Recommended Posts

Is there a file somwhere that shows the layout of the cockpit instruments panel by panel? Some 3D drawing maybe?
Can someone show me where to find and how to open them?

There are only 2 files that can show you.

1) The cockpit model itself, located in: \DCS World\Mods\Aircraft\...\Shapes or \Cockpit\Shapes. These .EDM files can be opened with the modelviewer2.exe located in the bin folder of the DCS installation.

2) The manual that a modules comes with, located in: \DCS World\Mods\Aircraft\...\Docs

But there are no 3D drawings of panels or other things, you would have to find those online or in real life manuals.

just do a google search for "cockpit poster" and the aircraft you are looking for...

i.e. (the F-14 results) : https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=e51918ddf39b0c56&q=F-14+cockpit+poster&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwilt47P2ZmEAxXgLkQIHUdRAEsQ0pQJegQIDRAB&biw=1402&bih=898&dpr=1
