HMCS Reject page - what exactly does "closest FRND" do?

Apparently it is "Closest friendly datalink member", but I'm not sure exactly what it will show for that.

I have this one on, and have a friendly in the area but don't seem to get anything extra on the HMCS.

Is it supposed to show a guidance arrow to friendly? 

Or it would just show when your helmet is looking at them - in this case I would've though this would already be covered by Donors or MIDS info.

Or is it not implemented in DCS Hornet?
