Ice Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Nice, i've been trying to get higher definitions around Georgia for the last few days but as soon as i zoom in that area it would lose connection and say try again in a few minutes. So I downloaded the latest version and it doesnt update at all :-( Frustrated
Starlight Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 It's a shame that some land textures are out of focus. Some also are "double" (they seem taken by a drunk-sat) anyway it's a good program, and it's really fun to zoom in over secret locations, military bases and other things like that (and, obviously, the classic "this is meeeee!!!"). the 3D view is not accurate and well-scaled, but it's good anyway
Ди Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 There is some problem with relief and textures conformity, in particular on flat terrains. Besides, there are real problems with loading structures from some satellites. The geographic detail is delightful ! We scare because we care
Fellblade Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 the 3D view is not accurate and well-scaled, but it's good anyway It is accurate, it's just that some of the textures are mis-aligned to it. It is also perfectly scaled.... if you turn off the 'height magnifier', which is on * 3.0 by default.
