patrey1136 Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 Not sure why but only the ka50 and ka50III will pitch up full bore when I try to take off I have to push full forward pitch to control it and even after getting it in the air it always wants to pitch up, very hard to control. When I first got this bird it didn't do this, but that was a few years ago, and I haven't flown it for years.
PawlaczGMD Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 You need some forward cyclic to maintain neutral pitch on takeoff, that's just how the Ka-50 is tuned. Not full forward though, maybe 20% of the range. Make sure your autopilot channels are on? Consider holding down the trim button during takeoff to avoid the AP messing with you.

Once the issue happens, exit the mission, click "Save track". Attach your track here. ---

You need to trim before taking off the ground forward. In each module there is a trim indicator, that you can active with RCTRL+ENTER. I recommend that you use trim modifier combined with stick position. Make sure you trim 20% forward, and you should be fine on takeoff. Basically this is a beginners error and not for but report. PawlaczGMD Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 Yeah, another thing that could mess you up is if you don't disengage the parking brake and are out of trim. The heli will jerk when you take off. I really don't think it's a bug.
