Goose489 Posted March 1, 2024 Posted March 1, 2024 I was looking at carrier aircraft and I came across this article on a P-51 called the Seahorse/Seastang. Apparently, in 1944 the Navy did carrier evaluations on the USS Shangri-La using the P-51 Mustang. The P-51 was fitted with a hook and a stronger bulkhead towards the tail. The evaluation was carried out by Lt. Robert "Bob" Elder. The ETF-51 completed a total of 25 landings and takeoffs throught its testing. It would be nice if a developer could develop this for us. 2
