Hi guys!

So, as the title says, this is the problem :  I've created a mission where I'm escorting some bombers that have to strike an airfield and I also placed down other fighters to escort the bombers giving them the "escort" task via editor, all good so far right?

But as soon as I start the mission friendly fighters randomly go land to the nearest airbase.

Does anyone know why that happens?

AI in DCS is so strange.

Thanks for any help!

i suggest you post a short track so we can try and see the anomaly. a mission too would be helpful. but AI are idiots sometimes. however they have been known to save players too.

Hi Silver and thanks for your answer!! 🙂

I watched some more tutorials and find out that the "solution" is to FIRST give the AI a waypoint and then set a task to "escort", this way they'll do the task.

I thought you could just spawn them and give them the task already 🙂
