Is fuel boost pump emergency speed rheostat actuation not increasing fuel pressure?

Once I noticed that my fuel pressure was sitting at about 22 PSI, bottom of blue arch. So, I played with emergency boost pump rheostat and got no change in fuel pressure. Engine operated smoothly and I got no trouble in that flight. Then I played with it in different missions, on the ground and in air, and got no pressure change. Is it not working? Is it known/reported?

Also, I'm seeing different normal fuel pressure readings in real pilot's manual (16-17 in flight, >7 at idle). These manuals show different fuel pressure gauge (separate), but are marked for D models too. Did D-30/40 get more powerful fuel pump and plumbing for higher pressure? Or is it some gauge/sensor difference?

TheĀ boost pump rheostat does not work as it should.

Reported long time ago, marked as a bug and locked.

Then ignored, as others...Ā
