Hi.

My system specs is in my signature. Playing DCS MT.

I guess that if I run DCS, after heavy Photoshop works, DCS hangs randomly anywhere. Loading time takes infinite and especially it's too hard to move the mouse. It looks like my PC's FPS is -200. Too late latency on mouse movements. If almost impossible to do CTRL+ALT+DEL. Even if I manage it, it's too hard to get the mouse on DCS and select End Task.... or you reset the PC.

If I encounter with this problem, generally I see it after DCS's "15 Years" splash screen point, and then black screen. Nothing happens.

Even PC restart won't solve the problem. I needed to shutdown PC and then start it again, and the problem disappears.

Thanks.

so this sounds like Photoshop hogging resources and not resetting itself like it should after you shut it off. I think you found the fix either play on a secondary PC where you dont use photoshop on and just use for gaming or just shut off the PC and restart before running DCS..

Have you checked your PC's resources after a heavy photoshop session to see where you stand I am thinking maybe Photoshop uses all the memory and when you turn if off and start DCS there are not enough resources to get DCS going hence why a shutdown ad restart seems to fix it..

IS that file you uploaded a log file or trk file?? any reason you zipped it?

This is not DCS fault but something photoshop is doing.. I checked your mod link I thought they might be mods you run but they are mods you made they looked pretty cool I may try the Viggen sound mod thank you 😉

What's weird to me is that restart doesn't fix the problem but shutting down does 🤔.  I am far from expert on Windows but my understanding is that restart should "clean up" windows more than a complete shut down (which is more like a suspend except that it powers the hardware down) these days.

to add to what @rob10 and @The_Nephilim stated, check to see if you have FAST STARTUP enabled. if it is enabled, turn it off for testing. a restart and shutdown/restart react differently.

The Fast Startup feature in Windows 10 allows your computer start up faster after a shutdown. When you shut down your computer, Fast Startup will put your computer into a hibernation state instead of a full shutdown. Fast Startup is enabled by default if your computer is capable of hibernation.

just a thought.
