tityus Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 Howdy, I was trying to make a mission with a thick layer of clouds and low ceiling. Is there a way to adjust conditions such as Dew Point or maybe a way to lower the altitude presented in the weather editor? I could not achieve 500 ft ceiling for example.
Solution razo+r Posted April 14, 2024 Solution Posted April 14, 2024 You are limited to the weather presets available for now, it is very limited. However, you have access to the cloud file that defines how each preset looks like and you can edit it and add more. That way you would be able to achieve what you want, probably. It's located here: DCS World/config/effects/clouds.lua
Art-J Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 To add to what razo+r said, if you're mainly SP user and don't mind using custom mods, grab bandit648's weather mod. Some of the presets included in that one allow you to lower the base to sea level. Thickness can also be increased multiple times compared to stock clouds. You'll find it here: i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
tityus Posted April 16, 2024 Author Posted April 16, 2024 Thank you, guys, I'll consider that while a definitive weather model does not exist.
