Skis???

It would be nice to have this map have the skis options for helicopters like the apache and chinook since ED have said that they will not make them for the apache even though this would be the perfect map for them to be. Especially considering the annual nato operations and trainings in the region where skis are seen nearly every single time

For looks only I suppose? The snow depth in DCS isn't even a millimeter thick, so skis are not really needed.

I am aware they would be completely cosmetic. Snow for all intents and purposes is not even simulated in DCS to any real effect.

It's not a request for the map maker. Individual modules (maps, aircraft, additional assets, etc...) are individual IP products. Thus, this request would have to be made individually for each module. You also have the option to go to the "DCS 2.9"-section, and specifically to the "DCS Core Wish List" one, and make a general request there. If it becomes popular enough, ED could implement it on their modules, as well as inform 3rd parties of it (it's still a individual decision).

 

It would be nice, of course, as well as many other implementations. However, it would not be anywhere high up on the to-do list. There are far more basic requests, which aren't yet processed. Still, head over to the above-mentioned section, and report it there.

This highlights the point that maybe snow should have depth, as it would certainly add a lot of realism to any winter map.

Yes, I know. I hope that sometime in the future, snow depth will be a thing in the sim.
