Best way to start landing procedure? Plus the ballooning issue

I know 100% the real jet doesn't balloon the way ED modeled it.  I asked the sources at the time ED released the Hornet and after... You 'feel' the deceleration and maybe a bump or 2, that's all.  Hornet's FCS is an amazing piece of work and I'm sure SMEs have a good idea how the transition to PA works.  I don't have access to any intricate details 😕

Say that the DCS FCS is at fault. OK. People have been bitching about it forever. OK. So keep bitching about it, and keep trying to compensate for it when you drop full flaps at 250, and keep on bitching. Or wait to 180 to drop flaps and problem is solved. Jeez, easy decision for me. Oh and BTW, it is only a problem doing a straight in approach. Never even feel it in the break.

Sorry, I had to google...  I'd guess he's probably crashing a lot these days. I might be wrong 😉
