Why VOR/DME station 112,4 NAT can be decected by TACAN 71X?

Not exactly. The DME that is paired with the 112.4 MHz VOR is on the same frequency as the TACAN, but no part of the TACAN operates on 112.4.

What about icls of fa18? is there any table for frq like tacan/vor?

The ICLS system on the Hornet (AN/ARA-63A) operates from 15.412 GHz to 15.688 GHz.

This is still an issue as of today.

 

Had the boat set to 71X and it was reading all the way down at that radio station... Change the boat to 73X - works perfectly.

The VOR/DME station down there operates at 112.40 MHz. This VOR frequency is paired to the DME channel of 71X (which is what TACAN uses).

As an additional example, the VOR/DME station at Beirut is on 112.60 MHz, this would correspond to DME channel 73X, or the VOR/DME station at Larnaca on Cyprus is 112.80 MHz, paired to 75X. Carrier TACAN channels should be selected to avoid existing DME stations in their operating area to avoid confliction.
