Updated first post with link to Banak static template.

Also, made some updates do Kemi Tornio - reduced number of required mods without loosing too much of a "fun factor", added some life to the east side of the airfield with the unused runway and added working TACAN.

I was looking at Kiruna Airport but I will most probably wait till Orbx will work on it - currently there are too many buildings out in the middle of nowhere for my taste.

Really nice work. Is it possible to merge the airfields to one "file", so you can fly around and see it all together? As I understand can you only load one Miz-file at a time?

The Files each contains both a MIZ and a STM file, the latter is in Static Template format and can be merged.

Thanks Chicki!

I've just updated Bas-100 to account for the changes to the mesh and textures in the most recent update. Name was changed to Vuojarvi.

Now working on the templates for the new airports.

Kirkenes Airport is now available. Link in the first post.

Kallax almost done.

Thanks a lot for sharing these Templates, they have been really useful for me to add ambiance to my missions. I intend to simplify them a bit for my own use, dispensing with some Mods like the Seaking to make them easier to employ ... it took me a bit to gather all the needed mods and liveries 🙂  but once I got them, the templates worked as intended:

Good to hear you like it Eduardo. The idea is to "overkill" a bit as it should be easier and more convenient for each user to scale down and remove some assets rather than force users to add them.

I see a lot of familiar looking mods on your list that I try to avoid using as some of them are outdated/not available anymore or it wouldn't make sense to force people to add one more mod just to have this nice looking van parked by the hangar 🙂

Now, back to work 😉

I remove the mods from the list only once I've tried to use them on a mission and then found they don't work anymore, so I'm aware that I have on my Mod library some outdated ones, but can't make myself proactively go checking them, only update Mods when I need/want to use one. 👍

Wish there was a vanilla version of these. The VPC mod seems to be out of date at this point. Correct me if I'm wrong btw.
I also attempted to load the STM, remove all the assets and save it as a new miz, but everytime I attempt that, the miz saves to a file with 0 bytes, so there seems to be some issue with me trying to do that.

The VPC Mod still works just fine, I use it a lot for redfor templates, for example this is Olenya airbase, at Kola:

That happens when you load a Template which uses objects that your DCS does not have ... wish DCS simply didn't allow you to do so, instead of corrupting the mission. To solve, simply load all the User Mods that the Template employs, before attempting to load the Template.

Do you have a direct download link for the version you are using?
I saw in one of your user file posts for the templates you say you need the 9.6 version of VPC but then you link to a forum post for the 9.4 version. Can you clarify? Thanks

On this post is a direct link to my copy of the VPC Mod:

DCS 2.9 does need the fix that was introduced for DCS 2.7, only DCS 2.8 does not need it.

The thread title says 9.4 because it is a quite old thread, dating back to 2019 ... version 9.6 is my own custom version that includes fixes made by @voc that were not incorporated on the version available at VirPil website, plus a few texture edits to have the Mod more IC-compliant (tough honestly I stopped caring for the IC when I abandoned the Multiplayer scene of DCS).

This tool can remove all modded objects from the .miz file:

The templates would be pretty empty without VPC mod, especially the ones for the Russian/Soviet Air Bases.

If you don't have VPC the .miz file with the respective templates should work as they will simply not load VPC objects.

I am working on a couple missions for our community that requires there not to be any modded assets present unfortunately (I don't like it either, it is what it is). I have made some very nice ones myself with M92 assets that are now part of core, so it can be spruced up very nicely, I just don't have the time to spend to make them for several different airfields, which is why I am looking to maybe adapt @Rudel_chw's great templates.

I tried this several times and it reproduces the issue I described here:
