DmitriKozlowsky Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 I think , I have the cold start + INU, process , somewhat handled. But not completely. When errors do occur, I am stumped, and generally , respawn. But two items have paused me. RTFM fails to address the WHY? So after start up I still get frozen ADI, despite GyroMagnetic being ON and INU aligned (via ALR). Second item is a row of fail lights LACE T, T ANG, ROUL, EMP, DIR Posted is pit switchology. Hope 2560 X 1440 is sufficient.

As for the ADI, I'm not sure what you're doing but my process is to set the dial to GM and wait for the "CAP" warning light to go out and for the ADI flag to disappear. Then I start the INU alignment.
DmitriKozlowsky Posted May 26, 2024 Author Posted May 26, 2024 "You can rid of all those lights by pressing the servo reset button by the parking brake." Yikes! I can't see it. AT ALL! It does not show up as clickable place when gliding pointer over the area. The area is so dark and chock full of dark orange red lines and black and handles obscuring. I dont want to waste a control mapping on something that is onky pressed once during a mission at start. AERGES need to resolve some of this pit clutter.

Please look at page 18 of the manual for its location. Also, it can be used beyond start-up as some maneuvers may trip the servos.
mikko.1842 Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 Maybe OP could take some time and try the tutorial missions... Cold start is well explained there.

drPhibes Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 The turorials do not take months to complete. In fact, they are much quicker than your current trial and failure-method. 3

It seems that you have never tried the tutorials. Start-up tutorial takes like 10-15 min. Repeat it 3-4 times, and you will be able to cold start in any situation. Basic F-1 tutorial missions will have you spend 4-5 days max over your 10 "cram days". If you don't want to read, watch videos, or just learn, DCS might not be the best game for you. 12 hours ago, DmitriKozlowsky said: "You can rid of all those lights by pressing the servo reset button by the parking brake." By the way, start-up tutorial does show you where you should click. One of the good points of a full-fidelity module is that you don't need to do control mapping for EVERY button of the cockpit. F-1 cockpit is overwhelming in game... as it is in real life. Aerges can do and will do nothing about that. If you find it too dark, there are mods that can make the cockpit brighter/clearer. Enjoy.
