ReveWolf Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 (edited) Hi everyone, there is a keybind to change the radar range to 5 and 10 miles from the pilot seat? all i found is the jester keybinds for 25 and 50 miles in wide and narrow mode, but i wanna know if is it possible to set as 5 and 10 miles, i know is possible to jump back in the WSO seat and set from the knob but when you jump on the front cockpit jester set again as he want. TerrorMango Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 For close ranges, best thing to do would be to use CAA mode by first pressing CAGE, then nosewheel-steering. This gives you a 5nm vertical scan.
Solution Biggus Posted May 28, 2024 Solution Posted May 28, 2024 If you disable Jester presence, he shouldn't fool with stuff in the back when you jump back to the front seat. Alternatively you can copy bindings from the WSO input lua and paste them into the pilot input lua.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 4.4ghz, 64gb DDR4 @ 3200mhz, GeForce RTX-3060ti 8GB DDR6, Three KTC 32" QHD monitors @ 165hz, Rosewill 80plus Bronze 1000w, Corsair Hydro H100i, 2tb M.2 SSD for OS, Two 3tb HDD, 2tb SSD for DCS, P3D, Star Citizen, Sound Blaster Zx, Thermaltake Overseer RX-I, Winwing Orion 2 HOTAS F-15EX throttle and F-16EX stick, Winwing 3 MFD MIP with FA-18 UFC and F-16 ICP, TrackIR 5, Surround Speakers & Subwoofer, Oculus Quest 2 VR. :joystick::pilotfly:
Zabuzard Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Exactly which .lua file do I need to copy from and paste too?The binds are defined in DCS/Mods/aircraft/F-4E/Inputs/Pilot/Keyboard/default.lua and the corresponding file in the WSO folder respectively.They are referring to opening the Pilot file and copying the lines from the WSO file that define the controls for the WSOs Radar Range knob into it.Once you did that, you can map the bind from the Pilot seat as well.Manipulating WSO binds can easily confuse Jester as he doesnt expect that, so you will need to disable Jester when you mess around with his pit.
