Wizz Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 (edited) Hi all, I have a weird issue that seems to be recurring. For some reason when I start my computer, the DCS shortcut (for the multithreaded executable) has been deleted, and so has the executable from the bin-mt folder. I have to run a full repair, in which case it replaces the files, I make new shortcuts, and everything is good again for a few days. Then it deletes again. Incidentally the non-MT executable doesn't delete at all. I'm really confused about this, and was hoping someone could assist me to prevent it happening again in future. Edited May 30, 2024 by Wizz
Hiob Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 have a look in the log of your AV. If it is the AV that keeps deleting it, maybe make an exclusion. Or have a look in the windows event viewer and try to find the culprit. 2 "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"
Solution Wizz Posted May 31, 2024 Author Solution Posted May 31, 2024 Thanks for your reply @Hiob. It turns out my Window's Defender Firewall had randomly created a rule to block inbound/outbound DCS-MT executables. Removed and working again. 2

The windows defender deleted your .exe and then created a rule? Wow. Well, I know Windows Defender likes to adjust the firewall once in a while... just to help us
