DCS Executable keeps getting deleted

Hi all,

I have a weird issue that seems to be recurring. For some reason when I start my computer, the DCS shortcut (for the multithreaded executable) has been deleted, and so has the executable from the bin-mt folder. I have to run a full repair, in which case it replaces the files, I make new shortcuts, and everything is good again for a few days. Then it deletes again.

Incidentally the non-MT executable doesn't delete at all.

I'm really confused about this, and was hoping someone could assist me to prevent it happening again in future.

have a look in the log of your AV. If it is the AV that keeps deleting it, maybe make an exclusion.

Or have a look in the windows event viewer and try to find the culprit.

Thanks for your reply @Hiob.

It turns out my Window's Defender Firewall had randomly created a rule to block inbound/outbound DCS-MT executables. Removed and working again.

The windows defender deleted your .exe and then created a rule?  Wow.   Well, I know Windows Defender likes to adjust the firewall once in a while... just to help us 😄
