Flight Model

Something is off in the flight model. Flying it sideways, I can get almost 90 degrees of roll and exceed 200 knots airspeed.

I suppose that is a bug.. What I found is that is very easy to make a hover. In xplane the Dreamfoil 407 was very nervous and you had to fight against it. 

Not saying that it is wrong in DCS, but maybe the military version is totally different than the civil 407. Or maybe xplane model was wrong, but I expected something more nervous in slow speeds.

I can confirm the sideways 90 degree flight bug.  After seeing the vid I tested to confirm and it does indeed occur.  Tested without the eyeball and no weapons aboard.

Can someone post a .trck or explain how to do this? I'm trying to reproduce it, but I just drop like a rock.

Jury is still out for me as far as flight maneuvers...autos last night caused a consistent left snap roll at the bottom, and I can't figure out why. I'm now thinking it's an SCAS input causing that. I'm gonna turn it off and try again when I get home. I do think the hovering and taxiing maneuvers are really really close to IRL. Best I've felt in a helo sim for the home user.

Am I missing something?

Can someone tell me if I can improve the Kiowa performance in the settings. I have the gazelle and the Mi8 and now the Kiowa. 
 

Compared to the other 2 the Kiowa module seems lethargic and slow. It feels heavy and sluggish compared to the gazelle. I can’t achieve the stated ceiling elevation, in fact it maxes out and won’t ascend beyond a point. It’s weak with its ability to carry anything other than minimal weapons. 
 

I’m not a pilot but it just feels off. I assume it would outperform the gazelle but that isn’t the case. Maybe it’s operator error. 
 

Doesn’t seem to live up to the hype.

Turn off SCAS...try it then experiment with the two SCAS switches

The flight model is superb, straight out of the box. Reduce fuel to 50%

The kiowa is heavy and has „only“ a C30 engine installed. All good with the performance imho, i checked it with the performance tables, bevause i thought it has too much power

Thanks I’ll turn off SCAS and give that a try.
