-Scrat- Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Hi, Is there any way to reduce the glow searchlight ? It's definitely too strong. See picture attached. Scrat 2
RealDCSpilot Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 It's not only that. It only renders about 50m far. 2 i9 13900K @5.5GHz, Z790 Gigabyte Aorus Master, RTX4090 Waterforce, 64 GB DDR5 @5600, PSVR2, Pico 4 Ultra, HOTAS & Rudder: all Virpil with Rhino FFB base made by VPforce, DCS: all modules
GrEaSeLiTeNiN Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 +1 There is also no trace of any light beam coming from the searchlight, like you would see with a torchlight. It's just the bright spot on the object. 2 AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC 8GB | 64GB G.SKILL TRIDENT Z4 neo DDR4 3600Mhz | Asus B550 TUF Plus Gaming | 2TB Aorus Gen4 TM Warthog HOTAS | TrackIR 5 | Windows 10 Home x64 | My HOTAS Profiles

Still, it would be nice if the range was a bit more useful. I'm sure the spotlight in the Mi-24 is much better in this regard.
RealDCSpilot Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 It's actually connected. In a 3D engine a "light's" range and brightness are intertwined. Because it is cut off rendering after a very short range, all the "energy" goes into that short light beam and acts like running in overdrive. 1 i9 13900K @5.5GHz, Z790 Gigabyte Aorus Master, RTX4090 Waterforce, 64 GB DDR5 @5600, PSVR2, Pico 4 Ultra, HOTAS & Rudder: all Virpil with Rhino FFB base made by VPforce, DCS: all modules
