No missile training?

Wanted to run some training missions for this bird(s) but went to load up an A/A missile training and noticed there were none. In fact there's no A/A training at all. Am I missing something?

Training missions are quite limited at the moment.  Hope that gets addressed.  In the meantime, you should be able to find some YouTube tutorials.  RedKite mad some a while ago but they may be a bit outdated.

thanks for the info. that's unfortunate because I really like this plane. agreed hopefully this gets addressed soon

actually found this out recently as well and it's nice, but doesn't seem to be a tutorial really, just an easy campaign I believe. i could be wrong

I get that it'd be nice for an actual, voiced mission to be made by Aerges, but I doubt we'll get one until the module's development advances further, especially its radar simulation.

A training mission for A-A is extremely easy to make yourself. Use chuck's guide to know how it all works within the cockpit, then set up a mission with completely unarmed plane to serve as a target and a F1 spawn on its 6 o'clock. If your target is unarmed, neutral or of the same faction as you, it won't evade you and will just stand there for target practice.

you're saying the typical A/A missile radar operation is going to be drastically changing soon enough that if they made a simple tutorial right now (like every other module has) it would become quickly outdated?

ColonelAgile has a point, also, yeah, proper radar modelling will drastically affect the delivery of radar-guided missiles. A "simple tutorial" takes time to make, and Aerges might already be tight on manpower. Other modules lack proper training missions, or have in the past, and there are many other ways to learn, including fantastic community-made guides and a detailed manual made by Aerges.

Until the module is fully developed (radar and F1M included), I don't think this is a priority.
