Dusty Rhodes Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 My next upgrade. Just got a new puter, so I should be able to save up for this bad boy by the time it is released :D My guess on price is $2500 USD. Dusty Rhodes Play HARD, Play FAIR, Play TO WIN Win 7 Professional 64 Bit / Intel i7 4790 Devils Canyon, 4.0 GIG /ASUS Maximus VII Formula Motherboard/ ASUS GTX 1080 8 GB/ 32 Gigs of RAM / Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog / TrackIR 5 / 2 Cougar MFD's / Saitek Combat Pedals/ DSD Button Box FLT-1
Boberro Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I noticed the screen is not one curved panel... so it is not so big revelation ;] Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
crazysundog Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Hopefully when OLED becomes more mainstream we can expect a lot more choices like this at a reasonable price... ...I'm drooling over it, but could never justify spending over $1000 on a single display! (justify to my accountant/wife of course.)

Dusty Rhodes Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) Oh I could justify it. Man when your wife isn't tech savy, you can justify about anything. :D I just hope we can get ED to put the required native resolution in the game so it can be fully utilized. PeterP Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) I just hope we can get ED to put the required native resolution in the game so it can be fully utilized. Where do you get that this resolution is not supported? Right now Black Shark is able to work with every resolution your Operating system reports. And the right aspect ratio will be set automatic. :smartass: Edited May 2, 2009 by PeterP
Dusty Rhodes Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I did not know that. It just seemed like an odd resolution that I hadn't seen in any sim before. Does the monitor report to the OS and then the OS to the Sim and the sim lists the resolution? PeterP Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) Yes -this it how it works (for me). Inspired by this setup http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=32550&highlight=techdemo I have bought a 17inch touchscreen and attached it under my 22inch wide-screen in windows XP . I set a Vertical span custom resolution of 1440x 1800 in the NV-Display menu and BlackShark showed it without problems in the options. :) Editing- I tried and tried to get the same in WindowsVista - but it will not be in span. No such option! - But I have good framerates in XP (takeoff in Batumi -30 fames in Cockpit over city and usually 40+ elsewher with a 8800gt) Edited May 2, 2009 by PeterP
