I just purchased DCS from Best Buy here in Athens, GA. Before I open the box (which I desperately want to do 8-)), is the text in the sim and in the cockpit in Russian (Cyrillic) or is it in English? I remember the text in Flanker 2.5 being in Cyrillic and I just couldn't fly that thing. I hope I am making sense.... thanks.

Ever since I worked in russia for a short while, and thereby was prompted to get some basic knowledge in russian and cyrillic, I have found that there's actually enough common ground in russian with other languages I speak (like English, Swedish and German) for me to learn something like cockpit navigation pretty easy.

For those that would like to learn that, just for the fun of learning, just start off learning the letters that you see in your cockpit. Write them down, check them out, and repeat it. You'll find that once you can read them vocally, you will have a much easier time learning what is what and what the different words mean. It's just that first hurdle of a different alphabet one has to get over.

And besides - it'll help you if you ever go on a vacation to beautiful places like Greece and Cyprus as well! (Or, for that matter, St. Petersburgh, which is a very nice city if you get yourself a knowledgeable driver to show you around old-town.)
