F-16C Pilot model helmet appearing in first person

I think that is by design.  There have to be limits to the articulation of the pilot model.  After all, you wouldn't expect to just be able to stand up and walk out of the aircraft, would you?

Laptop Pilot. Alienware X17, i9 11980HK 5.0GHz, 16GB RTX 3080, 64GB DDR4 3200MHz, 2x2TB NVMe SSD. 2x TM Warthog, Hornet grip, Virpil CM2 & TPR pedals, Virpil collective, Cougar throttle, Viper ICP & MFDs,  pit WIP (XBox360 when traveling). Quest 3S.

Wishlist: Tornado, Jaguar, Buccaneer, F-117 and F-111.

Why not? "See the world they said, sexy planes and fast chicks, but didn't mention SAMs and triple A. I'm outta here!" 🙂

Hi @rhelimarekanele

This is by design to help those creating custom camera positions so they don't have a "headless" body flying the plane. This is position sensitive so it will only show the head in a certain offset from the original position.

Hello, thank you for responding!

I see that now and understand, but with my TrackIR setup it is very hard to play with a pilot model as the helmet appears very often when you turn around, would it be possible to have an option to have that "headless pilot"? 😁

Kind regards.

I use track IR and in order have the axis move out of the pilot body is to really move around the cockpit in such a way I would be unnaturally offset from the seat. I suggest you adjust your sensitivities and deadzones for the Track IR device. I can ask for the chance of a headless body, but this was an effort to create this pilot body model as detailed as it is, including this head feature.

For your reference, this is my POV looking back with TIR.
