dresoccer4 Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 (edited) Anyone else think the animations are choppy? Such as the cyclic and rotors? I'm running at 90fps but the animations look like they're moving at 15fps. In addition the rotor blur is very pixelated and strange looking. Is it like this for anyone else? It's not like this on the other helo modules as far as I can tell Grabbed a screenshot of the rotor, it's very jagged and unnatural looking. not like this for any other helo. like this for anyone else or just an issue on my end? GrEaSeLiTeNiN Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 I don't quite see the animations as choppy when compared with the Apache or Gazelle. The jagged blade edges can be produced depending on which angle you view the aircraft from, although less pronounced in the Apache. I think what is more apparent may be the swash plate area. When paused, they are all in a blur. But when spinning, the Apache one looks more detailed. 1 AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC 8GB | 64GB G.SKILL TRIDENT Z4 neo DDR4 3600Mhz | Asus B550 TUF Plus Gaming | 2TB Aorus Gen4 TM Warthog HOTAS | TrackIR 5 | Windows 10 Home x64 | My HOTAS Profiles
YoYo Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 (edited) This is new kind of rotor animation, like AH64, Mi24 and CH47, dont remember about Ka50, personally I like it very mutch (blurr looks very well) however I agree that in models from ED they look better, more detailed (center part, blades look exactly the same in Hind or in Apache). Some like it, some not, like in the life ;). We have few topic like this in Apache or Hind corners, however I prefer this new style what we have than old (like it was in Gazelle). So in general it is quite similar, some people like it, others don't, but for me this path is the right one. I think the Apache looks fantastic. However the Kiowa's blur animation doesn't look like the Apache blur animation in my opinion. it's blurry but not smooth or seamless. it is jagged from certain angles, so wasn't sure if this was an issue on my end with graphics or DLSS or something. 9 hours ago, GrEaSeLiTeNiN said: I don't quite see the animations as choppy when compared with the Apache or Gazelle. I agree, in Apache animation looks better however the jagges are the same from certain angles in Apache and Mi-24P too. Here, the animation of blades is more thinny, so its a little visible more maybe.
