Problem I see personally, is that it won't work with Virpil grips and I don't want to lose my VFX grip

The Rhino works with Virpil grips and this one might too. We don't know anything about it yet.

IIRC Virpil works with TM, Winwing needs an adapter for TM, so I'd think that adapter is needed for Virpil as well,, thing is that you need to open up your TM grip to change the connector

and it doesn't say anywhere Virpil has/needs the same internal TM connection

Yes, so using a TM or Virpil grip with these FFB bases won't be an option, which was my point

maybe they'd make some more to help shift their new product

I'll bet that they will keep offering the adapter if the base sells well, since I think that a lot of people will want to use it with a Warthog stick or a Virpil one.

I'm one of those, but without that adapter, no sale, so it's almost imperative to make that adapter available again to reach a large market as possible

...and there are a lot of people with Virpil and TM grips

Cautiously waiting on Virpil's expected announcement, because as above, my totally irrational perspective is I could be tempted to spend too much money on a new hotas gizmo, but making me buy a new compatible desk mount? That's asking too much.

You can't buy the Winwing base yet anyway, and no release date is known. And the early reviews of the Moza at the expo are poor: https://stormbirds.blog/2024/07/01/fsexpo-retrospective-hardware/

So I would suggest just waiting a month or two at the least for the Moza bases to get into the hands of customers, to see how much progress they've made on the software by then, unless you desperately need a new (high-end) base (as then you might want to take the gamble). And by then we hopefully get more information about the Moza hardware, and possibly about the other options as well.

Why rush to get something that potentially doesn't work very well (yet) anyway and could potentially be fairly poor value for money compared to the other options?

The Moza option is really appealing just because it'll be compatible with the current TM we have. Other bases, well I'm not sure they will unless TM releases their own FFB base in a sensible time frame, though, comparing to how long they took to release their own metal base when we've had Virpil, VKB, Winwing (any others?) for how long, 3? 4 years now? well, hope they react quick, but I'm not sure about that knowing usual response times from TM to the markets eating their toast since quite a time.

Yep, I've seen other reviews about the Moza base being relatively "poor" in options, though those reviews happened in a pre-release base, and software is just software after all, subject to change and being enhanced. Hope so, at least. But the compatibility thing makes it really nice to me not having to change all of my previous stuff but just the base, TBH 🤔 .

Anyhow, I guess I'll wait for more reviews before purchasing. Despite the good name the brand apparently has, since I'm not into racing I've never known any of their previous hardware (but it all looks stunning, to be truth). Hope the Wingwin option is here sooner than later and we know more about it, I hardly doubt they'll make it TM compatible anyway so overall price increases.

Very good review of FS24 expo. Spanish but subs are available. It says (for the mate asking) the Winwing base will have bigger motors than Moza, and I'm curious too about that since I fly with stick extensions and now it's a must for me.

That's good news. It's great to have different options, rather than just copies of mostly the same thing.

According to the machine translation, it is not just bigger motors, but significantly bigger. So perhaps close to the FBBeast?

Yep, and the Super Taurus 2 with vibration and auto-throttle are quite nice news either 😁 .

Going by what I have seen so far about this Behemoth it will be cheaper than the Moza.

That would be surprising, as they seem to use bigger motors.

Why do you think that it is cheaper? Do you have any specific facts/insights to share?

I'll wait for the actual prices before I get too excited. 😛

I totally agree with you, I rolled the dice a bit too soon on the Monza unit but i'll let it ride .

Suppose I was too excited as been waiting for one for a long time then all of a sudden 3 or 4 turn up at once.

Size wise it's still smaller then the Taurus.

Does any one know what the "Auto throttle" is on the Winwing Tauras FFB?
