From Pimax: Tracking optimisations still to be made on the Crystal Light and a deep dive into its SLAM algorithm

If anyone has the Crystal Light and feels sometimes the tracking is a bit off, please hang on. Now (June 24th) we're still working very hard on ironing out some aspects and improving it.

Hello and thanks for your work on the Crystal Light.  I have been enjoying mine for it's great features and visuals.  I do have a somewhat frequent issue, however.  While playing DCS, there are often times when I look in an extreme direction - - for example way behind me (or sometimes even just the tough angles to see all of the interior cockpit switches behind my hips) that the headset seems to 'lose tracking', then it starts to 'float'.  Even after I recenter with my DCS key bind, i get some floating AND I usually see this blue circle somewhere overlapping or near the virtual jet.

It becomes quite disorienting and ultimately requires a complete re start of headset (and game?, don't quote me on that part).

Is the video above meant to address this?  Did that update already come out?
Is there perhaps anything else I can do with my particular settings?

Thank you very much.

Make sure your USB plug is in the highest speed port you have, it runs the tracking cameras and needs as much speed as you can give it.  Most older ports only do 5 Gig, you'll have much better results if you can give it at least 15 Gig data rates.

Hello @Keith Briscoe

The tracking algorithm is a long-term project, and our team is doing their best to improve it with every patch.

Have you tried switching between lighting frequencies? You may need to check your local lighting frequency, which could be either 50Hz or 60Hz.
