otaolive Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 In stores page I did the setup to release Mk82 bombs in CCIP mode, but after I designate a target with TPOD, HUD only show CCRP mode. Is it possible to use TPOD and CCIP ? :pilotfly: :joystick:
DD_fruitbat Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 (edited) If you designate a fixed point, you can't be in 'constantly computed impact point' by definition, hence it changes to CCRP. Can't remember if the Hornet is the same as the Viper, but in the Viper the Tpod will slave to the CCIP impact point currently shown in the HUD, when in CCIP mode. Muchocracker Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 far as i'm aware that's what the real jet does. You are forced into AUTO mode when there's a designation. 1
Solution lmp Posted July 10, 2024 Solution Posted July 10, 2024 What you can do is find and designate your target with the TPOD, roll in on the diamond and once you have visual, undesignate and continue in CCIP. At least that's how I remember doing it, it's been a while since I've flown the Hornet. You can place a mark point in case you need to reattack, so that you don't need to look for it again.
otaolive Posted July 11, 2024 Author Posted July 11, 2024 Thanks all for the explanation :pilotfly: :joystick:
Pantera93 Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 You can actually change mode from AUTO to CCIP in the stores page AFTER TPOD designation to have both CCIP symbology and designation diamond on HUD, while maintaining lock on TPOD. That's something I find myself doing a lot. However, IIRC, what you can't do is activating AGR mode while having a designation active. - "It's better to reign in hell than to serve in Heaven" Modules: A-4E-C Skyhawk, A-10C II Tank Killer, AJS37 Viggen, AV-8B Harrier, F-14B Tomcat, F-15C Eagle, F-16C Viper, F/A-18C Hornet, MIG-21 Fishbed, MIG-29, SU-27, SU-33 Maps: Caucasus, Nevada, Persian Gulf, Syria, Supercarrier Rig: i7 4790 / Nvidia GTX 1070 Strix / 16GB RAM DDR3 1600 MHz / 256 GB SSD / Windows 10 Setup: ThrustMaster TWCS Throttle, Titanwolf "Vulture" Stick, DelanClip PRO, Home-made universal Cockpit panel
