I'm still having the same problem - the memory allocation is about 20GB when I chose coalition, then everything freezes up. Usually the game crashes. In about 1/10 cases (first time today), I can even choose a plane. It used to work on the shadow reapers, but today it didn't either.

Tried this new patch tonight online ,  joined  a server , AND could not fly the HIND  slot , just sat there in VR , looking at the airfield on the ground.

Closed Down DCS , Did a restart took ages to load into ECW server i mean ages  . I chose the hind again and Could not fly the hind again, I just sit there looking at the airfield from a point in space in VR . 

I then changed slots into Mig-21:  took a while to load in ,  but managed to the load cockpit and take off ,

Again the spotting is awful in VR , Still can't see air targets , 2.9 it just sucks. 

Not impressed with the Spotting in VR This is  totally Broken. 

I Refuse to buy anymore modules at $80.00 , With broken Patches and an unstable game engine and poor net-code for multiplayer .  .

SomeOne needs to tell the truth .

Previously spotting felt like a cheat in my low-res VR. I could just fly really high and spot anything (like helis between trees) on the ground as thick black dots.

I actually like the new no-spotting-dots better, but it should be something in between.

Man I've just been online this second and its awful ,targets  just blend into sky or its disappearing in front of me .I Cant track at all . This is with out the cheat black blobs . VR for me is Broken now . And the New menu in  VR is glitch stutter mess . Move forward the menu vanishes , move back it vanishes got to sit still and not move . This is steamVR .

@BIGNEWY Why is the title changed to 'spotting' instead of 'slotting'?

off-topic: I have had troubles with the launcher since its existence giving me errors and (for example) saying I'm not logged in, but when I start it anyway the game shows I'm logged in and all modules are available.

good to know it is improved. 

Witht he launcher sometimes you need to wait until it shows you are logged in correctly at the top, Ive had it happen to me where there was a slight delay.
