A.F. Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 (edited) DCS no longer starts in VR since the latest update. (Windows 10, HP G2 There are no problems in 2D I'll get to the new starter. The glasses remain black, the DCS programme icon is in the task bar, but nothing else happens. I have to close DCS via the task manager I have made a long repair. I have deleted the shader EDIT: I have found the error: apparently OpenXRToolkits no longer works with the new version. After I deactivated the toolkits, DCS also starts in VR Edited July 11, 2024 by A.F. 1 2

instigatorxb Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 I had to turn on "Enable Virtual Reality Headset" from the launch app settings. Just found the "Enable Virtual Reality Headset" slider doesn't stay set on exit/restart either.

I usually play in VR via virtual desktop, but now even when I specifically try and launch in flat screen, it forces me INTO VR.... After that it first ran but had an issue with the high detailed FOV (very jumpy) in the quad view rendering, then I use "clean" in the launcher and now it wont start in vr - so long story short, same here. zb2oby Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 (edited) same here, i've tried the tricks here and i can launch in vr (i got the mirror) but the headset (reverb g2) keep blackscreen and the dcs view don't move when i move the headset. but sometimes i don't know why the vr is working fine (one times on ten). it is very annoying EDIT : i think i've found a way (not sure, to confirm later) 1 - launch WMR manually 2 - Launch DCS and wait 2 minutes on the new start menu (<== this is the thing) 3 - click on launch DCS in the new start menu Edited July 22, 2024 by zb2oby

I'm not saying I did not bork something up but I get so frustrated trying to get it to run I only come back every couple months to try again, last time I played the performance in VR was so bad I gave up again. This time found out it was because I had openXR resolution set to 100%, changed to 50% and it was fine. reverbg2, 10600K, rtx 3080, windows 10, 32gb ram. - Uninstall EVERYTHING including mixed reality - Reinstall Everything including mixed reality - reinstall the openxr toolkit Edited July 22, 2024 by rss0900
