Hi

First of all, thanks for the great work you did! I just noticed some little things about the lights.

The forward strobe glass behind the cockpit should be white, the light itself is, but not the glass.

  Second point: it should be an strobe light. I add a video where you can see it clearly.

Third point: you can also see that the strobe at the botton is white too. Maybe it's red in Spain?

Last point: the navigation lights on the wings are in fact strobes, but I'm not sure that they are blinking alternatively.

Hi, thanks for the report. We will review all this but keep in mind that light logics were different between models and we believe even changed with time in some models.

After a little investigation, the F1C-200 (and surely the F1C) has red strobes on the top and the bottom of the fuselage. And as far as i could see on the photos, there was only the red strobe on the top, the white strobe was introduced on the CR/CT. Maybe you could make it like an argument configuration option like the other parts of the F1 😉. I know you have a lot of work and this is only a detail. The most important thing here is in my point of view the color of the front top strobe, that, i'm sure can be fixed easely. For the strobe, I changed it to argnatostrobelight with 1.25s in the lua file which seems to be good.

Hi, what you describe partially contradicts our sources. The C has a fix red light on top (the formation light) and a blinking red light on the bottom (the anticollision light, linked to the navigation light control). You are correct in that the CT and CR had a white strobe added. So, from our point of view, the light logic is correct as is for the flyable versions. Can you explain a bit more about the argnatostrobelight you were mentioning, are you using it for the AI CT/CR?

Hi, just in case it's worth clarifying, I found one of the few videos where you can see the upper red light working, it's on an f1M modernized from an f1EE. It only lasts a few seconds, but you can see the top light (which would be the formation light) flashing, while at the bottom the red light has been replaced by a white strobe light. I don't know if the lighting system changed in F1M, converting the formation light into a flashing light or if it was inherited from the EE version.

Hi

Here is the modification I've made to have the upper white strobe blinking.

[WOLALIGHT_FORMATION_LIGHTS] = {
                typename = "collection",
                lights ={
                    {typename = "argnatostrobelight",argument = 200,  period = 1.25}, --CT/CR
                    {typename = "argumentlight",  argument  = 201}, --Green Position
                },
            },

 I just changed the argumentlight to argnatostrobelight (line 584 in the Mirage-F1.lua file) and added period=1.25.

I understand that the flyable EE version doesn't manage the white strobe as it's specific to the CR/CT version. Am I correct? We use the "version args" to have the appearance, but not the functionnality remains on the EE version.

So the only thing to modify would be to change the color of the white strobe cover to be visually good.😉

From what I can read, the F1C had only one strobe light to the bottom of the frame 17 of the fuselage, flashing at 45Hz. (45 flash per minute).

CT works the same with one added on top, the one on top is situated on the equipment bay door with the same 45Hz flash.

Both on the F1C and CT, when only using the Strobe light switch to the max it makes all lights (strobe and nav light) to flash.

(I still didn't found any paper that talk about the colours)

I randomly set the strobe at 1.25s, seems I had luck as 45 flash per minute equal 1.25s. 😀

I doubt about the fact that it's 45Hz, as 1 Hz is 1cycle per second. So 45 flash per minute should be 0.8Hz.

Yup you're right, thanks for pointing that out mate
