Qcumber Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 I have only just updated to using the latest version of DLSS (manual install). This looks quite a lot better than the previous version. Sharper and less movement blur. I'm not sure if it is the DLSS update, the DCS update or both. Has anyone noticed any improvements? 1 9800x3d; rtx5080 FE; 64Gb RAM 6000MHz; 2Tb NVME; Quest Pro (previous rift s and Pico 4).

The latest updated DLL file of DLSS is always made available in techpowerup: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/ The download comes in ZIP format. Open it. Then drag (or copy/paste) the nvngx_dlss.dll file over the exhisting one, replacing it. Which is located in same folder where the game executable is. This goes for any game that makes use of DLSS. AlessandroFuBu Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 hello, with this new dlss version you still need to change the preset? if so How can you change the preset? do you need the program DLSSTweaks?

Yes, to change the DLSS presets you need to use DLSStweaks. First install the latest version of DLSS (3.7.20) then use DLSStweaks to change the presets and the scaling (if you want to). 1 9800x3d; rtx5080 FE; 64Gb RAM 6000MHz; 2Tb NVME; Quest Pro (previous rift s and Pico 4).
Qcumber Posted July 24, 2024 Author Posted July 24, 2024 OK. Since I updated to 3.7.20 DLSSTweaks has stopped working. I've updated Nvidia drivers and reinstalled DLSSTweaks but no joy. Any ideas? 9800x3d; rtx5080 FE; 64Gb RAM 6000MHz; 2Tb NVME; Quest Pro (previous rift s and Pico 4).

It's just not starting for you, e.g. it's not creating the dlsstweaks.log file, or you aren't noticing a difference? Don't know if you've solved this yet but have you renamed the DLSSTweaks dll to dxgi.dll yet? DCS "broke" this a few patches back and you have to rename the dll for it to work. The DCS nvngx_dlss.dll file will, you'll need to update that back to the 3.7.20 version as DCS ships with 3.7.0.0 so will replace it. All the other DLSSTweaks stuff will be untouched as they aren't DCS files. You can also follow my alternate steps here to set this in the Nvidia Global Profile to reduce some of the effort of dealing with dlls and config files. pierscockey Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 Thanks all. I’m not saying this is the reason my DCS is running smoother than it ever has done, but doing this for MSFS has resulted in the same result there too. 1 i9 12900KS | 3090ti 24GB | 64GB 5200Mhz DDR5 Corsair Dominator Platinum GS-4 Seat | NLM V3 | Moza AB9 | Warthog Throttle + stick | MFG Crosswind | Reverb G1
