So I play VR, and my Pimax has plenty of quality with out using MSAA etc.

But when I record the track, I just have a humble 1440p screen, and I crank all the graphics options to the max.
Is there any graphical improvement to get by using sharpening when you just use MSAA x4? Or is it mostly to compensate when using DLSS/FSR?

i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.

It is mostly to compensate for the loss of sharpness due to upscaling. But either way. It doesn't cost any performance (to speak of) and can be adjusted to your taste. So just give it a go and try it. Raising sharpness can e.g. counter the atmospheric haze build into DCS a bit.

(It doesn't have any specific advantages with MSAA though, since MSAA doesn't cause a loss (or gain) in sharpness)
