This latest update caused some issues, the login screen appeared while still downloading the files, I logged in , then exited, and after the update finished can't start the game, important file has been damaged, namely DCS-manifest.bin

Error message tells me it needs repairs and to check some log.

same goes when I try the DCS-MT

I have my dcs on an external ssd.

THX for any help

do a full repair. DCS on an external is not a great idea. however if it works, go with it.

Hey Silverdevil ,thanks for the info, howver I have no idea how to do a "full repair" . I hope it's not a complete uninstall-reinstall.... ? I don't have the steam version, so.. ?

THX again.

hello. you can look in the Eagle Dynamics program group in Windows start menu. there should be a "repair" shortcut.

another way is to open Windows File Explorer, browse to the folder "\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\".

Then in the URL box type CMD. this will open the command prompt.

then run DCS_updater.exe repair

come back to let us know how it goes.

Silverdvil, You have hereby officially been promoted to Goldendevil. Thank You for Your help, I have one last question :D.

The CMD-repair has found 4371 unnecessary files and asks me if I want them deleted or not.

No other option. What do You say, fortune favors the bold ?

goldendevil ha!

you can delete those files. either way you can always re-run the repair process.

if this worked i suggest you mark the post as solved. the green checkbox in the forums are solved posts and will help others wade through the nonsense of the posts with aimless banter.

good luck and clear skies.
