Just wondering if anyone is seeing a FPS drop since the DCS 2.9.6.58056 Hot Fix.

I might just be me, but I'm pretty sure I'm losing 10+FPS on average since the patch.

I believe that has happened to me too. I also had a crash, and had to reboot the whole PC. Tracking this thread.

I have not got time to experiment for a couple weeks. Does running the new start game UI or bypassing it make a difference?

I have not noticed any performance hit. In fact I have been able to maintain a better FPS over built up areas than I used to. No benchmarks. Just running some of my standard instant missions for comparison.

If you have not already done so maybe clear the shader caches and check there are no mods interfering.

9800x3d - rtx5080 FE - 64Gb RAM 6000MHz - 2Tb NVME - Quest Pro (previous rift s and Pico 4). Afghanistan – Channel – Cold War Germany - Kola - Normandy 2 – Persian Gulf - Sinai - Syria - South Atlantic. BF-109 - FW-190 A8 - F4 - F5 - F14 - F16 - F86 - I16 - Mig 15 - Mig 21 - Mosquito - P47 - P51 - Spitfire.

Unfortunately there are a couple of possible factors at work here.  Pimax Play, nVidia drivers, and the most recent DCS patch all happened in close succession, making it hard to nail down a possible cause.

I ser that you are not running a Pimax HMD, but @Chief_Biv is, so that might point us toward the Pimax Play update.

Hopefully we'll get a few more comments to see if a trend surfaces.

I had a few crashes with my Crystal, but I believe it's hardware on my side.  My impression is that the sim is more consistent with fps now.  I would even say performance has improved because I like this build most of all.  CPU bound or GPU bound, it's very smooth now.  If you are happy with your settings, I suggest leaving the FPS counter off for awhile, or at the very least, collapse it so the charts don't distract you from the smoothness of the experience.
