Zabuzard Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 You mean when you have the checkbox enabled despite not having an actual force feedback stick? If not, please elaborate, thanks.
ebabil Posted July 27, 2024 Author Posted July 27, 2024 (edited) I have two sticks; first one is Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog. I am using it for planes. Second stick is Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2. I am using it for helicopters. When ffb checkbox is enabled, I can fly my helicopters without problem with good ffb input as well as planes without force feedback input obviously with my warthog except phantom. Phantom doesn’t answer trim down input despite the flight input layout shows it is being trimmed. to use phantom ı have disable ffb but in that case helicopters are useless with zero force feedback by using msffb2 Edited July 27, 2024 by ebabil FC3 | UH-1 | Mi-8 | A-10C II | F/A-18 | Ka-50 III | F-14 | F-16 | AH-64 | Mi-24 | F-5 | F-15E| F-4| Tornado Persian Gulf | Nevada | Syria | NS-430 | Supercarrier // Wishlist: CH-53 | UH-60 Youtube MS FFB2 - TM Warthog - CH Pro Pedals - Trackir 5
Zabuzard Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Yeah because if you have the FFB checkbox checked and have a FFB stick like you say, the aircraft thinks you are using FFB and will work differently. You should not have this checkbox checked if you are not actually using FFB.I understand the tricky situation, given that you swap sticks with the aircraft you fly. I dont see any easy way to "fix" your experience and there will be some other aircraft running into similar issues as well, not just the Phantom.Probably something that has to be tackled higher up by ED, perhaps by introducing setting-profiles.
ebabil Posted July 28, 2024 Author Posted July 28, 2024 But I don’t have this problem with rest of the modules 1 FC3 | UH-1 | Mi-8 | A-10C II | F/A-18 | Ka-50 III | F-14 | F-16 | AH-64 | Mi-24 | F-5 | F-15E| F-4| Tornado Persian Gulf | Nevada | Syria | NS-430 | Supercarrier // Wishlist: CH-53 | UH-60 Youtube MS FFB2 - TM Warthog - CH Pro Pedals - Trackir 5
Zabuzard Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 But I don’t have this problem with rest of the modules Because most of them work differently and have a different set of features. Afaik there are modules that run into the same issue, just not many.

Those setting profiles and overrides already exist. You can turn FFB on and use FFB off trim methods for helicopters in the per-module options. Ask ED how to implement the same. This is why this is a Phantom problem and not an any other modules problem. 1
