Trident Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 SK, how about updating the mod with some trees using 666th_birdy's methods? Given the rather low detail scenery there this would add a lot of life to the airbase's surroundings. Is this even possible outside the traditional world boundaries in LOMAC? http://www.forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=8373
S77th-Dante Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 good job on the airport, i would like to see, like most people i would assume more airports from the black sea region and surrounding states romania poland moldova Ukraine (odessa and some others further north) the next goal for you perhaps u can build a mountin range in turkey hehe. E.D. if your reading it would be very good if you packaged this mod up for an official fix and intergration into cdds . CoolDead Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Is fully compatible with multi player ??? if some guy don't have it ? CoolDead
pappavis Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 E.D. if your reading it would be very good if you packaged this mod up for an official fix and intergration into cdds . Or, they could add it, plus other worthwile addons (teka teka's?) in an extra file which becomes an optional download / directory on distribution CD. met vriendelijke groet, Михель "умный, спортсмен, комсомолетс" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] [TABLE]SPECS: i9-9900K 32gigs RAM, Geforce 2070RTX, Creative XFi Fata1ity, TIR5, Valve Index & HP Reverb, HOTAS Warthog, Logitech G933 Headset, 10Tb storage.[/TABLE]
S77th-Dante Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 no its not fully compatibal with multiplayer. if other players dont have it they dont see the airport and it looks like players are taxing on the dirt. thats why i would like to see it made offical so everybody has it. Alfa Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 SK, how about updating the mod with some trees using 666th_birdy's methods? Given the rather low detail scenery there this would add a lot of life to the airbase's surroundings. I believe the mod in question simply swaps 3D tree files with some of the new structure objects and then, via the Editor, adds these to a mission. This could also be done with the Merzifon mod installed - i.e. adding the new tree objects to the Merzifon surroundings and then save them to a mission. Is this even possible outside the traditional world boundaries in LOMAC? Yes - the new structure objects(and any static object for that matter) can be placed anywhere on the map, regardless of whether the area falls within the modelled part or not. However, the moving of the "Razdolnoye" airbase and all its fixed static objects to Turkey is an entirely different and much more complex matter - it is hard enough to move each "generic" object of the airbase from one point on the map to another, swapping some of them with other objects complicated matters further. I believe adding new fixed map objects that didnt come with the original airbase "components" would require an even bigger effort yet(SK?). JJ
Alfa Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Is fully compatible with multi player ??? if some guy don't have it ? It is only multiplayer compatible if all players have the mod installed. JJ
SwingKid Posted June 8, 2005 Author Posted June 8, 2005 SK, how about updating the mod with some trees using 666th_birdy's methods? Alfa is correct, adding new objects to the .scn files is presently beyond my skills. Creating a tree perimeter out of existing map objects would be possible, but very difficult, requiring me to do over almost the whole mod from the start. Maybe someday when my other projects are finished. -SK

Kyril Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 So if Weatern runways is already installed, we'll need uninstall it? Awesome work BTW :)
Stealth_HR Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Does this mean a Navy Supermod11 as well? I know Merzifon AB is included in the pack - will we see a repatch? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Real men fly ground attack :pilotfly: where EVERYTHING wants a piece of you :D
666th_birdy Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 @ Kyrill: I haven't tried the 'western runways' mod but my guess is it uses the same files (onlay_vpp.sup and razdolnoe.rn). Please run Modman to see which files are used. So yes, you probably should uninstall that mod first. This also means that after installing Merzifon version1.1, only Merzifon will have western style runways. @ Stealth_HR: I don't know of any navy mod and I don't know which files are modded. Please run Modman to see which files are used. If the scenery in the Navy mod ONLY adds the Merzifon airbase and all other addons have nothing to do with the scenery, you can have both Mods installed and will find extra trees and objects around Merzifon. Do check to be sure. from the readme in the ZIP package: (1) If you have already installed a previous version of this mod, then first restore the original Lock On files: Bazar/Terrain/Onlay/High/Onlay_VPP.sup Bazar/Terrain/Vpp/Razdolnoe.rn If you have already installed a previous version of Birdy's scenery mod then first restore the original Lock On files: Bazar/Terrain/Scenes/Low.scn Bazar/Terrain/Scenes/Medium.scn Bazar/Terrain/Scenes/High.scn This version 1.1 includes new replacement files. Basically this means that all mods that use 'runway' and/or 'scenery' files will be affected. The user will be notified of this within the Modman GUI when the Mod has been selected. If all goes well it will be online this weekend :pilotfly: Shots of fixed statics in the scenery DELL Inspiron 1564 / Intel Core i3 M330 @ 2.13GHz (4GB)___ATI Radeon HD4330(512Mb)___Windows7 Home Premium 64bit

theGozr Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 This is great while a bit far dho.. why is it not possible to add bases instead of displace ? Possible to texture or add towns or objetcs into the outside regular map like in Turky etc.. ? Fly it like you stole it..
666th_birdy Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 This is great while a bit far dho.. why is it not possible to add bases instead of displace ? Possible to texture or add towns or objetcs into the outside regular map like in Turky etc.. ? True, it's far but IRL a sortie that last less than an hour is very unlikely. You can always press CTRL+A during down-time. The number of airbases is hardcoded in the lockon.exe so adding bases is not possible.
