Communications Menu - Can this be refined?

Has ED ever looked at or thought about revamping the communications menu to make it less of an immersion killer (having to use voice attack or mouse etc)?

By this I mean, making the menu fully selectable with a controller bind for UP and DOWN and being able to SELECT what you want, all without taking your hands of your controls?

I like the jester menu from Heatblur and how that works but it's too in your face.  This suggestion would be to keep the communications window up top right but just easily selectable.    Does that all make sense?

It already is. Check out “Command Menu” in the controls.

@MAXsenna it's at the UI layer so it's pretty slick. Set in once and use it everywhere.  Like the F-keys, these command menu binds will also take precedence when the command menu is open so you don't have to worry about clobbering any existing binds or dedicating specific hat/buttons for comms.

I've used these commands for a while, but I hadn't thought about this part of it.  Opens up even more possibilities!  Thanks.

I'm using VAICOM, so I haven't bothered with it yet, but I should!
Thanks!
