razer668 Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 A question about the last mission" Sight seeing tour with Nina": On the first and second attempt, landing on the Skytower was not possible. The UH1 went through the heliport. It was not possible for me to land as you can see at the screenshot. Can you help?

I need to check that, I am pretty sure the helipad worked fine without destroying the helicopter during all the testing. You hit the helipad in the center or more on the edges? No problems with helipad at hospital? If you have a track, can post it? I will test it ... sadly I do not have quick workaround for that. That is more a map issue, but I will take a look at it and let you know. Edited September 4, 2024 by Cyking DISCORD - YOUTUBE - INSTAGRAM
Cyking Posted September 4, 2024 Author Posted September 4, 2024 Ok, I made a quick & dirty test in mission editor. I worked for me, see attached screenshot. But I maybe know what causes your issue. If you take a look at the third screenshot. You can see some floating objects (lights) at the edges of the helipad. I tested it, at it seems they are having a collision box. They have not been there before. I will report that to ED / Ugra Media to fix. The only workaround I can offer right now, is a clean center landing, sorry. 1 DISCORD - YOUTUBE - INSTAGRAM

Air Joker Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 (edited) First of all, thank you for the quick reply. I use the com/radio-menu very often. Hard to believe it's because of the binding. I´ll test it again later at home and report...sometimes strange things happens in VR... unclesneep Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Hello. Enjoying the campaign. I can't remember the mission number.. but the 9ne where you are Springfield 1-2, and have to drop off the troops, then load up on rockets and guns to provide cas at yankee.. I tried to load up on rockets, but it only loads one pylon even though I chose 2. Also that one pylon only had a single rocket.. Is there a specific load out we need to choose? I've tried with and without front facing mini guns, but both times only a single pylon of rockets gets installed instead of 2. Nit sure if we are supposed to load the 19x or the 7x. He or heat? Would it even make a difference?

And I limited the the Farp with only this rockets for loadout. I already made a fix on my end to make all weapons available and hopefully the bug will be fixed with next update. JanHe Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Having played several DCS campaigns, I have to say that this campaign is one of the very best. In my opinion, together with "Paradise Lost", this is the best campaign for the Huey. The Syria map is a welcome change from the frequently used Caucasus map and is excellent for helicopter missions. The map is very well staged in the missions with very cinematic weather settings and locations. I was particularly impressed by the lively atmosphere during the campaign, which is created by very appropriate and persistent AI deployment on the water, on the ground and in the air. Also the radio communication and interaction with the AI seems authentic. Radio Lebanon is a great idea (Shoutout to A.C.!). The missions are diverse and have a pleasant level of difficulty. Feasible for beginners but also a challenge for advanced players. After the bugs already mentioned in the forum have been fixed in the next update, this campaign is an absolute must-have for every UH-1 pilot! As the scenario and the setting offer so much potential for further missions, I hope that there will be another follow-up campaign. Either for the Huey or a helicopter previously included as AI (Mi-8, Mi-24...) Cyking for your first campaign, this is a great result that you can be very proud of. I can't wait to see what else you come up with in the future! 3
Air Joker Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 (edited) I played the Peacekeeper Lebanon campaign…and I really enjoyed it . Positive: - The campaign uses the Syria map (…I can no longer see the Caucasus map) - The locations are not too far apart, so there are no endless flight times and you become more familiar with the area with each mission. It is a relative compact mission area. - The operating times are wonderfully chosen...often sunrise or sunset...that creates a wonderful atmosphere, especially together with the radio station. - Including Andrei Celeste from HIP-Games as a DJ from a radio station who plays music and announces news via a radio in the helicopter was a great idea. - The difficulty level is easy to medium. Most missions succeed on the first try. This means there is no frustration. - The missions are not very complex, but rather straight forward. This has two advantages. Firstly, you always know where you have to fly and what needs to be done. Secondly, the trigger points trigger reliably and so there are (almost) no malfunctions in the missions. - You don't need to know how to navigate the Huey to complete the missions. Either you are told the direction of flight (e.g. Heading 260) or the destination point has been marked on the map by the co-pilot. - The story offers variety, one or two surprises, and a classic suspense curve. - The use of weapons is well measured and isn´t main part of the campaign. - The campaign shows a lot of attention to detail and is never unfair. Suggestions for improvement: - “DJ AC” always plays the same hits on his station…a little more variety would be good. - There are small problems in the current version, but there are workarounds for them and they will be fixed in the next update. Who is the campaign for? - For Huey beginners who can fly and basically operate the UH-1D. In-depth navigation knowledge is not necessary. - For Simmers who don't like long approach times, prefer clearly formulated mission objectives and don't like frustration. - For pilots who enjoy the versatility of the Huey (reconnaissance, support, escort, load transport, troop transport, gunship operations, co-op with other helicopters/jets, etc.) Who is the campaign not suitable for? - For pilots who want to destroy everything. - For all Huey simmers who value realism, accurate procedures and are looking for the ultimate challenge. (By the way...for those I recommend the two "Worlds Appart campaigns" from "Low-Level-Heaven"...they are for "professional pilot level" !) Conclusion: I would buy the campaign again!
