CTLD - TROOP LOADING- More troops ?!

Hi !

CTLD:  
If I have loaded an infantry group but would  like to load  an anti-air group for example, the message "You all ready loaded a group" appears.

Does anyone know if this can be set in the CTLD lua so that you can load several infantry groups into the helicopter?  I can't find anything about it.

CTLD only supports 1 troop group and 1 crate. You could take a anti-air group and Avenger vehicle.

Sorry for what may be a stupid question (ctld is pure wizardry to me), but can ctld be changed/improved so that for instance the Chinook can carry 2 groups or 2 crates?

Is current 1 group and crate limitation due to ctld programming, or is it due to some dcs core limitations?

 

(Currently it's a bit sad that the Chinook can't carry more than a Huey)

Yes. CTLD can be changed to do whatever you want. It’s just lua scripting. The trick is to learn lua, and then there’s a mountain of things you can do with it. But be warned, it can suck a lot of your time- Far more than first anticipated.

Ok, definitely not a rabbit hole I want (or have time for) to dive in 😅

I wish though, that someone else would feel like doing this, so that the Chinook's extraordinary lifting capabilities could be better used with CTLD

It might in the end, but the thing is that the Hook is early access and ED are developing a lot of this natively. We don’t know to what extent, but it’s not a project too many will be keen on investing time to change if ED’s version is only a release or two away. Add to that many coders are spent just trying to fix, find workarounds and maintain existing functionality with the changes ED have introduced the last few updates that have broken stuff.

I’d say give it time. If ED don’t implement something soon:tm: then you may see this implemented within the existing CTLD framework down the track.

I suppose you are right. If this was easy to implement into CTLD, it would probably already have been done.

 

I'm curious to see what ED comes up with in their effort to expand logistics in DCS core
