It is a windows distributable, if you download it and instal you should be ok.

Please make sure you have this redistributable on your machine. You will need to reboot the pc after you have it installed.

This just happened to me. Thankyou for the quick fix! I clicked on the link and installed and then restarted the PC and then booted DCS and it worked.

I had the '0xc0000142' code as well. I just scanned and 'repaired' my PC the other day and it must have deleted some important files.

I used 'Advanced SystemCare Ultimate' to clean my PC, if anyone's wondering.

Hello again

I can download and then open the above latest distributables but every time they give the same cant find the file path error and stop downloading?...its the same error message as when I try to play DCS via Steam as above.

Absolutely baffled by this one folks!

Back up and flying with a smile on my face.

It was a Registry problem that was blocking me updating the Redistributable download needed.

Can you drop more info around the registry issue and what you did to fix it in case other folk also hit this problem. Cheers.
